Tri-Mountain Climbs to The Top |
|
“Ten years ago,” states Rosy Tsai, Vice President of Mountain Gear Corporation, “we started with one jacket, in one style, in three colors from size small to 2XL.” Now the burgeoning company has thousands and thousands of stock keeping units (SKUs) which they effectively distribute nationwide out of their warehouses. What sets the company apart is their focus on big and tall sizes. Currently, Tri- Mountain supplies garments in sizes up to 6XLT.

What role has Navision played in their growth and success? According to Ms. Tsai, formerly a systems analyst for a petroleum company who actually wrote software herself, “When I first saw a demo of Navision, I knew this was the software we needed. We were on SBT, which was not flexible enough for us. I saw Navision and I was amazed. It is a programmer’s dream come true.”
One of the Navision features Tri-Mountain has found particularly helpful in their growth has been the ability to make changes to screens and reports, even for non-programmers. With her extensive background in technology, Ms. Tsai is also very impressed with Navision’s stability. “You don’t lose data if the system shuts down for any reason, and our system has never crashed. I am very pleased with our Navision system.”
Tri-Mountain has had such success and growth that just last year they started Tri-Mountain Gold, a luxury sporting wear line catering to the discriminating tastes of the high-end market. www.trimountain.com |
